Bears Re-Sign Goaltender Parker Milner to One-Year Deal

The Hershey Bears are bringing back former Boston College standout Parker Milner to a one-year deal on Tuesday, which will bring the goaltender back for his second season in the Capitals’ organization.

The 26-year-old Pittsburgh native spent most of last season with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL where he started 43 regular season games; Milner finished the regular season with a 2.72 GAA and a .900 save %. Milner also started every game in the postseason for the Stingrays on their run to the Kelly Cup Final. Milner was exceptional in the playoffs with a 2.30 GAA and a .919 save %.

Milner also started 5 games for the Bears after he was called up to the team in early February where he finished with a 3-2 record.

Before last season, Milner has spent time with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (two stints) and the Iowa Wild in the AHL and Stockton Thunder, Quad City Mallards and Missouri Mavericks in the ECHL.
