5 best Max Pacioretty goals of the 2016-17 season

As a consistent 30-goal scorer since 2013, it’s not a surprise that Max Pacioretty is good at scoring. Here are some of his best goals of last season.

Shorthanded Goal vs Wild

Pacioretty jumps on a loose puck that Jared Spurgeon can’t handle at the point, and takes it down the ice to snipe cross grain over Devan Dubnyk’s blocker.

Top Corner vs Avalanche

Francois Beauchemin tries getting the puck up the ice while against the boards, but the puck deflects off of Tomas Plekanec’s skate right onto Pacioretty’s stick. Pacioretty takes the puck into the zone quickly, and snipes cross grain on Calvin Pickard.

OT Goal vs Predators

Patiently waiting for his teammates to enter the zone after a line change, Alexander Radulov finds Pacioretty lurking at the faceoff circle, and threads a pass for a quick shot that beats Pekka Rinne.

Top Corner vs Panthers

After quick pass back-and-forth to the point, Pacioretty cuts into the faceoff dot and wrists one over Luongo’s shoulder.

OT Goal vs Stars

Poor defense by the Stars leaves Pacioretty open for a breakaway in overtime, where he snaps the puck through the five-hole of Kari Lehtonen to seal the game.
