Five best plays from the Flyers | week of 3/4

Even though the Flyers had it rough these last few weeks, which includes a five-game losing streak, they did have some memorable moments against the Panthers, Penguins, and Bruins.

Konecny lifts the puck over Jarry’s pad and into the net

A great play by Konecny to take advantage of the loose puck sitting in front of Tristian Jarry’s pad and lift it up and over to get it into the net.

Mrazek save against Malkin

Malkin gets a great one-time chance, but Mrazek is up to the challenge, as he slides to his left, fully extended, to stop the puck with his pad.

Patrick’s pass to Voracek

A very heads-up play by Nolan Patrick to pass the puck behind and in between his legs to an open Voracek for the goal.

Lehtera’s five hole goal

Probably the only time you’ll see Lehtera’s name on this list, as he has not been much of a threat to other teams, he has an excellent time on the shorthanded breakaway to get the puck past Rask.

Lyon makes a few quick saves

In what could be a hopeful glimpse into the future of Flyers goaltending, Alex Lyon played well against the Bruins, aside from the late goal that gave Boston the victory.

The only way to describe Andrew is by using his own words: “I write poorly for Good Night, Good Hockey. I don’t take anything serious in life except hockey. Bound to make the NHL after I die.” The primary way of contacting Andrew is at this email: aostrosky@gnghockey.com.
